Winning 36 percent of students' votes, the Block "O" Fire Pit has been established as the 2009 Class Gift.
This gathering place will be constructed
outside the new Ohio Union, in the courtyard facing 12th Avenue. The 10-by-7-foot fire pit will be surrounded by lounge seating, providing warmth and a conversation piece where generations of Buckeyes can enjoy formal and informal get-togethers.
The other candidates for 2009 Class Gift funding received the following percentages of votes:
31% Students First
18% Ohio Union—Stained Glass Window
8% Ohio State Solar Decathlon Team
8% Ohio Union—Brick Fireplace
